Enjoy our cider straight from the bottle, or why not use it in some tasty dishes....
For 4 people...
2tbsp oil
8 good quality pork sausages
2 leeks, cleaned and sliced
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1tbsp flour
300ml Addington Garden
200ml chicken or vegetable stock
2 apples cored and sliced
1 bayleaf
1 lage sprig thyme or 1 tsp dried thyme
black pepper
Heat a tablespoon of the oil in a flameproof casserole over a medium heat and brown the sausages all over, remove from the pot. Add another tablespoon of oil and gently saute the leeks and garlic for about 5-10 minutes until soft. Next add the flour, mix well and gradually add the cider and stock mix stirring all the time. Return the sausages to the casserole, add the sliced apples, bayleaf, thyme and a generous grind of black pepper. Cover and cook in the oven at 160C for 45-60mins. Serve with creamy mash and a geen veg or just with crusty bread and a glass of Addington Garden Cider!
